Lalita Prasad-Reddy, PharmD, MS, BCPS, BCACP, CDCES, FCCP is the Assistant Dean of Basic Science Education, Vice-Chair of Foundational Sciences and Humanities, and Associate Professor of Clinical and Molecular Pharmacology at Chicago Medical School, Ë®ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ Franklin University of Medicine and Science. She is also an actively practicing clinical practice site, and maintains a practice in the internal medicine clinic at Rush University Internists.

She is heavily committed to the advancement of clinical pharmacy practice. She has a prolific publication record in peer-reviewed journals of high caliber, ranging from topics on clinical pharmacy to the contemporary landscapes of medical and pharmacy education, and has been an invited speaker for over 50 state and national conferences. She is active in several national pharmacy organizations, and recently served as the Northern Illinois Society of Health-Systems Pharmacists President. Currently, she is the DEI Committee Chair for the Illinois Council of Health-Systems Pharmacists. In 2020, she received the distinguished honor of being named a Fellow of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy for her dedication to clinical pharmacy practice.

As an academician, she has been actively involved in the transition to an flipped-classroom approach in the pre-clerkship curriculum at Rush Medical College. She has also development several programs focused on mitigating both the educational and health equity gaps, including leading implicit bias training for students, faculty, and staff, developing pipeline programs for healthcare programs for underrepresented populations, and developing programs aimed at student support. She has received several teaching accolades attesting to her commitment, enthusiasm and passion for healthcare education, and in 2020, received the Illinois Pharmacists Association Educator of the Year award.

Dr. Prasad-Reddy joined the administrative team in the Office of Medical Education in September 2022. Prior to her joining, she served as the Discipline Director of Pharmacology at Rush Medical College, where she oversaw and led the pharmacy curriculum, and was the Assistant Dean for Student Affairs at Chicago State University School of Pharmacy, a PBI on the south-side of Chicago. She is grateful for the opportunities at CMS to interface with students and help foster innovation and creativity in the pre-clerkship curriculum.
