Accreditation

The College of Nursing houses one program that is accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs through 2032. The next on-site visit for reaccreditation is expected to occur in April of 2032. The specific academic program covered by this accreditation status is:

  • Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Nurse Anesthesia (36 months)

The Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Nurse Anesthesia program reports the following program outcomes:

  • The overall pass rate on the National Board for Certification and Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) National Certification Examination (NCE), for all graduates who have sat for the exam is 99%
  • Attrition for the academic year 2023 - 2024 was 1%
  • For the most recent graduating class (2024):
    • The NBCRNA National Certification Examination pass rate for first-time takers was 92%
    • Attrition for the cohort was 2.7%
    • Employment of graduates as certified registered nurse anesthetists within 6 months of graduation was 100%
